And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed, up the river, which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman: and went and made war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. And I stood on the sea *stonde*stonde: two possible words come from the Middle English: stound: meaning "a short time" and stonen: meaning "stunned". stunned because of the vision.

He that doth evil, let him do evil still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be more righteous: and he that is holy, let him be more holy. And behold I come shortly, and my reward with me, to give every man according as his deeds shall be. I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end: the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that their power may be in the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without shall be dogs and enchanters and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth or maketh leasings.
I Jesus sent mine angel, to testify unto you these things in the congregations. I am the root and the generation of David, and the bright morning star. And the spirit and the bride said come. And let him that heareth, say also, come. And let him that is a thirst, come. And let whosoever will, take of the water of life, free.
I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: *If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall minish of the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from those things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith: be it, I come quickly, Amen.
