and the young man had met a young woman...
and the young man and young woman spent much time together helping each other and enjoying worthy rightful activities ...
and they had eaten many lunches and many dinners together talking and sharing stories and laughing and crying ...
even kindly and caringly counseling and correcting one another according to what they knew and believed ...
Nevertheless ...ONE DAY ...like any other day ...the young man saw the young woman working at a table in an open food court ...
and the young man walked over to the young woman smiling warmly ...and asked if she wanted to join him ...for lunch !
and the young woman ...without smiling ...of eyes or mouth ...said "no thank you" . plainly and with out emotion ...
and the young man gasp ...trying to take a breath ...for his heart and chest felt so empty ...
and the young man looked at the young woman again ...and her expression had not changed ...
and the young man knew ...that something was gone ...that she had felt before for him ...and he gasp again ...
and he asked as he looked upon her expressionless face ...well maybe another time ?
Yet even as he could barely look at her ...as his heart seemed to stop ...she did NOT ANSWER ...AND STARED BLANKLY AT HIM.
and with all that he strength that he could gather ...he turned quickly on his heel ...and WALKED AWAY ...
and he walked slowly ...away ...head up and broad shoulders back and a knowing expression on his face.
and that for he knew "that women do the choosing ..."
evenso and the same ..."do men do the choosing"
and unknown to the man ...at a table ...just close enough to hear what was said between the two ...were other women watching closely and listening ...
and that for the young woman and the other women had already devised a womanly plan and the way and words that would "Let Him Go " without an uncomfortable scene ...
and words came without speaking :
