Dearly beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, how that one day is with the Lord, as a thousand year, and a thousand year as one day. The Lord is not slack to fulfil his promise, as some men count slackness: but is patient to us ward, and would have no man lost, but would receive all men to repentance. Jackie My back was injured from lifting too heavy of water jugs. I couldn't even sit without my lower back and seat hurting. It hurt terribly to get up. Many people told me that if I didn't take medication, or go to a doctor it would get a lot worse and that even my other side would be imbalanced. The next morning as i woke up, i felt hopeless and all these thoughts rushed through my head. Then I heard the quiet voice of the Lord speak to me about the helmet of hope. My hope was beyond my injury...God gave me hope....which is a helmet that I put on my head....my thoughts were now hopeful that he would heal my back. With hope and the shield of faith....the next morning i woke up with very little pain. God is good. I never really understood what the helmet of hope is...but he showed me by his great mercy. God is such a good father to me.
