The Book of Life

      Before I went to bed I was led to read Chapter 20 of the Book of Revelation. I pondered about the two sets of books to be opened. One, the books were opened, and another book was opened which is the book of life. The dead were judged of those things written in the books according to their deeds. These are dead: and the sea gave up her dead, which were in her, and death and hell delivered up the dead, which were in them: and they were judged every man according to his deeds. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whoever was not found in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
      I was a bit troubled because I didn't understand. That night the Lord ministered to me in my sleep and opened up my eyes of understanding. He spoke to me and told me he is the book of life. I was very relieved as I knew my deeds weren't worthy, but him only. I knew then that I was written in the lamb's book of life, that I'm in Jesus Christ and he in me.
      I found comfort being in the book of life. I know that Jesus Christ is my righteousness, that no righteousness is found in my deeds. How perfectly woven together is God's word. The word was made flesh, Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ is the word, the book of life. Praise his holy name forever!
