Nevertheless i was taken and shown a place ...where a man helped others ... for their going out ...or coming in ...
and the man there ...provided for such as was needs be for any ... on the way ...and i looked and was shown that he was busy ...
and so i began to help myself ...of going on the way ...
yet when i did ...i was shown that the devise the man (who afore helped) had used ...that devise was broken ..and needs be repaired ...for when i first started ...to get what was needed ...the devise broke ..and no helps was possible to be gotten from the man ...
Now when o looked i did see the man who had helped others afore ..and he was afar off ..working on another measure of matters ...
and i called out to him ..and he heard me ...and he motioned for me to show him what was the matter of the devise that had broken ...
and so i drew nearer and nearer to him ...and did shown him the devise ..that he had made to help others ..and that it was broken ...
and he said that he could not fix it right ...right then ...for he had "other works" to do ...
and i asked him if he desired me to help him ..with his works ...so that he could fix the broken device ...a thing that none other could fix ...save only himself ...
and again he said ...no for it is a lot of works that he had to do ...other than fix the devise that helped others on the way ...
Now when he said that two things happened ...one ...and one another and others came to be helped of the man ...and his devise also ...and they too ...wondered about the broken devise ...and how or when it might be repaired ...and they waited ...also ...
and two ...i was shown that the man ...was ashamed for any to help him ...with these "other works" ...for these were all things that his wife had demanded of him ...and things he had set aside ...for a long time ..while he made and operated the devise that helped others on the way ...
and so it came to pass that his wife said to him ..that he was forbidden to work on anything else ..no nothing at all ...until all of which she wanted done ...was finished ...
and the man was ashamed ...for he knew that he was submitted to the wants of his wife ...and and seemed he could not escape ...least she be contemptuous ...fighting ...till he finish her wants ...
and i offered to help him ...and showed him the others waiting for his helps ...
and i looked and was shown the man ...and he was in the midst of things ..as though stumbling, staggered and stunned ...
and looking back at his brawling wife ...and forward to helping those who need him ...
