Dearly beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, how that one day is with the Lord, as a thousand year, and a thousand year as one day. The Lord is not slack to fulfil his promise, as some men count slackness: but is patient to us ward, and would have no man lost, but would receive all men to repentance.

and i was taken and show a young man and a young woman ...
and the two young people were as though espoused ...engaged to be married ...
and there was much activity going on ...
and the young man had bought a card for the young woman ...
and bought the more ...for there was something inside the card ...
and the young woman knew somewhat of it ...(yet kept her knowing hidden ) ...
and when they looked upon one another ...their hearts did leap to hold each other warmly ...
and they enjoyed the embrace of their love for one another ...
nevertheless the young man did not give her the card yet ...for he was waiting for a quiet time when they might be alone again ...
and so she was not then given given the card ...
and the young man mentioned it not ...
and the young woman thought he was toying with her a little ...and smiled ...
and the young man busied himself about the activity at hand ...
and the young woman waited ...and waited ...and now impatiently to see and open the card ...
and the young man worked the more ...and went from room to room ...
and there was great anticipation within the woman as to what was in the card ...
and the young man busied himself the more ...
nevertheless it came time to give the young woman the card ...and the thing that was inside the card ...
Now the young man looked ...and what !! the card was missing ...
and the young man looked and looked and looked the more ...for the card...
and the worse for the young woman ...for she thought he was still working ...
and finally the young man went to the young woman ...
and sadly said that he had lost the card ...
and he offered himself ...that he could be a living card...and he opened his arms wide to give the woman a hug ...
and the woman smiled and came to him to hug him ...
nevertheless the hug was something less ...than when he first greeted her ...
and much less than when she had expected the card and the find the mystery of what was ...inside ...
and scripture came back to remembrance ...
THE THIRD BOOK OF ESDRAS Chpt 4
And now believe me, I know a King which is great in his power, and all lands stand in awe of him, and no man dare lay hand upon him: yet did I see, that Apame (the daughter of the great King Bartacus ) the Kings concubine, sat beside the King upon the right hand, and took off his crown from his head, and set it upon her own head, and smote the King with her left hand. Moreover, the King looked upon her with open mouth: if she laughed upon him, he laughed also: but if she took any displeasure with him, the King was *faine to flatter her, and to give her good words, till he had gotten her favor again.
O ye men, are not women then stronger? Great is the earth, and high is the heaven that do these things. Then the King and the Princes looked one upon another. So he began to speak of the truth: O ye men, are not women stronger? Great is the earth, high is the heaven, swift is the course of the sun, he compasses the heaven round about, and fetcheth his course again to his own place in one day. Is he not excellent that doeth this? Yee great is the truth, and stronger than all things. All the earth calleth upon the truth, the heaven praiseth it, all works shake and tremble at it, and with it is no unrighteous thing. Wine is unrighteous: the King is unrighteous: women are unrighteous: all the children of men are unrighteous, yee all their works are unrighteous, and there is no truth in them, in their unrighteousness also shall they be destroyed and perish. As for the truth, it endureth, and is all way strong: it liveth and conquereth for evermore world with out end.
The truth accepteth no persons, it putteth no difference between rich or poor, between the mighty or simple, but doeth right unto every man, whether they be evil or good, and all men are lovingly dealt with all in the works of it. In the judgement of it there is no unrighteous thing, but strength, Kingdom and power and majesty for evermore. Blessed be the God of truth.
And with that he held his tongue, and all the people cried and said: Great is truth, and above all.
