and i was taken and shown a place ...
and it was a school of man ...like a university ...uni (one) verse ity ...where all learn the same things of and for the world ...of the worldly ...
and it was like a grey cold hard place ...of colorless concrete buildings ...
and the day was over cast ...with heavy shadows ...
and a damp coolness that seemed to chill the soul ...
and the students crowded and pushed one another to get from one place to the next ...
even to climb above and over one another all the day long ...
and strove one with another to get ahead of each other ...or in front of one another ...
and such was the hard careless ...care less ...ways of the world of the worldly ...in the schools of man ...
even from the beginning ...
even from childhood ...
even to adulthood ...
even to the end ...
Nevertheless there was a young man there ...
and the young man loved God and Christ and that in spirit and truth ....
and he moved through the maniacal (man I a calculating ) masses ...without rudeness ...
and was courteous caring and kind ...
and one day he came to a door ...of one of the hard buildings ...
and there was a young woman there ...
and again there was horrible rude pushings near the doors of the place ...at the times of class ...change ...
and the young man was pushed toward the young woman ...
and both would be pushed against an iron railing ...railing ...
nevertheless the young man held out his arms ...
and in his strength ...prevented the young woman from being pushed upon ...into the cold steel railing ...
nevertheless they came very close to one another ...
and she smiled on him ...a certain smile ...
and he smiled back the same ...
and she said thank you to him ...
and touched him on his arm ...
even upon the strength of his arms ...
and he felt her warmth in her eyes and in her touch ...
and they began look into each others eyes ...
and he opened the door for her ...
and she went in to the door that he opened ...in his kindness caring and strength ...
and in and instant their hearts moved tenderly one toward another ...
and they sought desirously to see each other the more ...
and made certain time and place that they would meet again ...
and not a time afar off ...
Yet as soon as possible...these two were so quickened one with another ...one to another ...
and they met again ...
and there was a powerful moving in each of their beings ...being drawn together carefully ...caring fully ...
and tenderly ...being ...being with one another ...
even in spirit and truth ...
and loving ...being ...being together...
and their affections one for another kindled like sparks on dry straw ...
and were the more ...and more moved one to another ...even as they might became as one ...
even as warm honey might be stirred into a confection ...to make a sure sweetness ...
evenso were their hearts knit together in love ...in spirit and truth ...as offered of God and Christ ...
and the two became as though they would marry ...
and they agreed within themselves ....
and one with another ...to the will of God and Christ in spirit and truth ...for their sakes ...
and kept themselves from unworthy lust ...lust of the eye ...lust of the flesh ...and the pride of goods ...
and looked forward to the day of their wedding ...the wedding ...
and scripture came back to remembrance ...
THE GOSPELL OF ST. MARK Chpt 10
And he rose from thence and went into the coasts of *Jurie through the region that is beyond Jordan. And the people resorted unto him afresh: and as he was *wont, he taught them again. And the Pharises came and asked him a question: whether it were lawful for a man to put away his wife: to prove him. And he answered and said unto them: what did Moses bid you do? And they said: Moses *suffered to write a testimonial of divorcement, and to put her away. And Jesus answered and said unto them: For the hardness of your hearts he wrote this precept unto you. But at the first creation God made them man and woman. And for this things sake shall man leave his father and mother, and bide by his wife and they *twain shall be one flesh. So then are they now not *twain, but one flesh. Therefore what God hath coupled, let not man separate.
This understand, that in the last days shall come parlous times. For the men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, cursed speakers, disobedient to father and mother, unthankful, unholy, unkind, trucebreakers, stubborn, false accusers, rioters, fierce despisers of them which are good, traitors, heady, high minded, greedy upon voluptuousness more then lovers of God, having a similitude of Godly living, but have denied the power thereof: and such abhor. Of this sort are they which enter into houses, and bring into bondage women laden with sin, which women are led of *diverse lusts, ever learning and never able to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
