Dearly beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, how that one day is with the Lord, as a thousand year, and a thousand year as one day. The Lord is not slack to fulfil his promise, as some men count slackness: but is patient to us ward, and would have no man lost, but would receive all men to repentance.

Behold in a nightmare of the dark season ...of the times and time ..of the season of man ...see son of man ...

and i was taken and shown an horrible darkness upon the land ...

and there was an house and houses upon the face of the earth ...

even on the very edge of darkness ....

and upon the face of the earth was an horrible darkness ...

even like a storm of boiling wretchedness and lightening of licentiousness ....(disregard for rightness)

and the clouds of thereof covered the houses of man ...

      even within and without ...

and there was no rest day or night from the wretchedness and raging and lying of licentiousness ...

and there was no satisfying ...the lust of the flesh ...lust of the eye ...or the pride of goods ...

and it seemed as though all the works of men ...lives of men and living of men were spent... to full fill the wants and desires and demands ...

even all ...every bit ... to full fill the waste full wants and dread desires and unGodly demands ...

and scripture came back to remembrance ...

THE REVELATION OF ST JOHN Chpt 12

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. And she was with child and cried travailing in birth, and pained ready to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven, for behold a great red dragon having seven heads, and ten horns and crowns upon his heads: and his tail drew the third part of the stars, and cast them to the earth.

And the dragon stood before the woman, which was ready to be delivered: for to devour her child as soon as it were born. And she brought forth a man child, which should rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her son was taken up unto God, and to his seat. And the woman fled into wilderness, where she had a place, prepared of God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

And there was a great battle in heaven, Michael and his Angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon fought and his Angels, and prevailed not: neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon, that old serpent called the devil and Satan was cast out. Which deceiveth all the world. And he was cast into the earth, and his angels were cast out also.

And I heard a loud voice saying: in heaven is now made salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ. For he is cast down which accused them before God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth, and of the sea: for the devil is come down unto you which hath great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

And when the dragon saw, that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman, which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, times, and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. And the dragon cast out of his mouth water after the woman as it had been a river, because she should have been caught of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed, up the river, which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman: and went and made war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. And I stood on the sea *stonde

THE REVELATION OF ST JOHN Chpt 17

And there came one of the seven Angels, which had the seven vials: and talked with me, saying unto me: come I will show thee the judgement of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters, with whom have committed fornication the kings of the earth, so that the inhabiters of the earth, are drunken with the wine of her fornication. And he carried me away into the wilderness in the spirit. And I saw a woman sit upon a rose colored beast full of names of blasphemy which had ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and rose colour and decked with gold, precious stone, and pearls, and had a cup of gold in her hand, full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication. And in her forehead was a name written, a mystery, great Babylon the mother of whoredom and abominations of the earth. And I saw the wife drunken with the blood of saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of *Jesu. And when I saw her: I wondered with great marvel.

And the Angel said unto me: wherefore marvellest thou? I will show thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that beareth her, which hath seven heads, and ten horns. The beast that thou seest, was, and is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and shall go into perdition, and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder (whose names are not written in the book of life from the beginning of the world) when they behold the beast that was and is not. And here is a mind that hath wisdom.

The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth: they are also seven kings. Five are fallen, and one is, and another is not yet come. When he cometh he must continue a space. And the beast that was, and is not, is even the eighth, and is one of the seven, and shall go into destruction. And the ten horns which thou seest, are ten kings, which have received no kingdom, but shall receive power as kings at one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall fight with the lamb, and the lamb shall overcome them: For he is Lord of lords, and king of kings and they that are on his side, are called, and chosen and faithful.

And he said unto me: the waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are people, and folk, and nations, and tongues. And the ten horns, which thou sawest upon the beast, are they that shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate, and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts, to fulfil his will, and to do with one consent, for to give her kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God be fulfilled. And the woman which thou sawest, is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

THE GOSPELL OF ST. MATTHEW Chpt 4

Then the devil took him up into the holy city, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him: if thou be the son of God, cast thy self down. For it is written: he shall give his angels charge over thee, and with their hands they shall hold thee up, that thou dash not thy foot against a stone. And Jesus said to him, it is written also: Thou shall not tempt thy Lord God.

The devil took him up again and led him in to an exceeding high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and all the glory of them, and said to him: all these will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then said Jesus unto him. Avoid, Satan. For it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Then the devil left him, and behold, the angels came and ministered unto him.

FIFTH BOOK OF MOSES Chpt 7

Thou shalt bring to nought all nations which the Lord thy God delivereth thee, thine eye shall have no pity upon them neither shalt thou serve their Gods, for that shall be thy decay. If thou shalt say in thine heart: these nations are more than I, how can I cast them out? Fear them not, but remember what the Lord thy God did unto Pharao and unto all Egypt, and the great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs and wonders and mighty hand and stretched out arm wherewith the Lord thy God brought thee out: even so shall the Lord thy God do unto all the nations of which thou art afraid.

Thereto, the Lord thy God will send hornets among them until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed. See thou fear them not for the Lord thy God is among you a mighty God and a terrible. The Lord thy God will put out these nations before thee a little and a little: thou mayst not consume them at once lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee. And the Lord thy God shall deliver them unto thee and stir up a mighty tempest among them, until they be brought to nought. And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their names from under heaven. There shall no man stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them. The images of their gods thou shalt burn with fire, and see that thou covet not the silver or gold that is on them nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therewith. For it is an abomination unto the Lord thy God. Bring not therefore the Abomination to thine house, lest thou be a damned thing as it is: but utterly defy it and abhor it, for it is a thing that must be destroyed.
