and it was like the gathering together to glean a field of fruits of the harvest ...only these women ...were gleaning of gravel ...of stoney ground ...
and of the stoney ground they gathered up nothing ...
and i looked and behold they stood up ..in their dresses ...and in each ones hands was a prayer book ...and they all together began to chant from the prayer book ...a certain chant ...
and each prayer written had become a chant ...and each chant thought to be a worthy prayer before God ...for the chant of the prayer had rhymed ...and the rhyme had turned to song ...
and they thought the song was worthy before God and Christ ...
and of all this i was not able to hear anything ....though somehow i knew what these had done ...
and all that they did they thought was worthy before God and Christ ...even justifying all of it ...
and all of all of it was darkness ...and greyness ...and gravel ...as the women went their own way ...thinking the were justified and justifying others ...
and within i prayed the more soever for to be abled to see the more ...
and came back to remembrance ...of the Prophet ...of how God hated the holy days ...fastings and songs of those of time afore ...
and too ...came back to me ...of the HEART of Manasses ...The Prayer of Manasses
and of all the money collected to do ...good...came to remembrance ...them saying to Jesus ...that the money worth of the oil poured on Jesus would be better spent ...on the poor ...
and of gravel ...look see !
