Dearly beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, how that one day is with the Lord, as a thousand year, and a thousand year as one day. The Lord is not slack to fulfil his promise, as some men count slackness: but is patient to us ward, and would have no man lost, but would receive all men to repentance.

and i was taken and shown a child ...
and the child was full of wonder and delight ...
and the child ran free and fast ...in the fresh air and son light ...
and jumped and laughed and looked all roundabout of the wonders of the earth ...
and came to remembrance the name of such from early scriptures ...
even as the children of God were called ...young springaldes ...
and the scene changed and the seeing changed ...
and a child was born in an institution ...a medical institution ...
and it was a cold ...hard sterile place of bright artificial lights glaring ...
and hard tables and glass tanks and cold hands grabbing and pulling and lifting and stabbing ...
and the whole of it was comfortless unnatural and cold ...
and the scene changed again ...and the seeing again ...
and there was a house ...that was like unto the same ...
namely cold unnatural comfortless callous calculated and controlled to a point of cruelty ...
and a school appeared ...and the same ...
and in a twinkling of the eye ...all institutions of man ...flashed before the eyes of a child ...
even every each institution that the child was bound to all the days if the child's life ...
and churches and banks and jobs and schools and businesses and hospitals ...and the like ...all flashed by in the twinkling of an eye ...
even ever careless (could not care less) comfortless thing that the child was bound to go to ...was shown ...
even all the days of its life ...from birth to dieing the death ...
and all had a similitude of being ...being prisons ...and the child a prisoner ...and bound ...CAPTIVE ...CAPTIVATED thereof ...
and scripture came back to remembrance ...
Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith: He is gone up on high, and hath led captivity captive, and hath given gifts unto men. That he ascended: what meaneth it, but that he also descended first into the lowest parts of the earth? He that descended, is even the same also that ascended up, even above all heavens, to fulfil all things.
THE REVELATION OF ST JOHN Chpt 13
And I saw a beast rise out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his head the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw, was like a cat of the mountain, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his seat, and great authority: and I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world wondered at the beast, and they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast, and they worshipped the beast saying: who is like unto the beast? who is able to war with him?
And there was given unto him a mouth, that spake great things and blasphemies, and power was given unto him, to do forty two months. And he opened his mouth unto blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the Saints, and to over come them. And power was given him over all kindred, tongue, and nation: and all that dwell upon the earth worshipped him: whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb, which was killed from the beginning of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity, shall go into captivity: he that killeth with a sword, must be killed with a sword. Here is the patience, and the faith of the saints.
THE EPISTLE OF ST. JAMES Chpt 4
From whence cometh war and fighting among you: come they not here hence? even of your voluptuousness, that reign in your members. Ye lust, and have not. Ye envy and have indignation, and cannot obtain. Ye fight and war and have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss: even to consume it upon your voluptuousness. Ye *advouterers, and women that break matrimony: know ye not how that the friendship of the world is enmity to God ward? Whosoever will be friend of the world, is made the enemy of God. Either do ye think that the scripture saith in vain: The spirit that dwelleth in you, lusteth even contrary to envy: but giveth more grace.
*advouterers: a-devouter; the prefix a meaning not or without; a (not) devotion, here to husband, elsewhere to the truth, Christ , God our father. This is not adultery as found in most other "bibles". The proof is that the word "adultery" is found plainly in chapter 2 PP 3 above and Yet here is advouterers, same writer, same book.
