Behold in a nightmare of the dark season ...of the times and time ..of the season of man ...see son of man ...

and i was taken and shown a foreign place ...

and the place was all full of hills and valleys ...

and it was a wasteland of war ...and dispute ...

and there was a white sign made ...

and it listed all the killed in the wretched place ...of waste ...

and the list of the killed were young men of the eagle ...over the years ...

and each name had a face ...

and each name had eyes ...to see ...

and each name had a soul ...

and each name had a body ...

and each name had parents...

and each name had loved ones ...

and each name was recorded ...in heaven and earth ...

and rain ran down the sign ...or was it tears ...?

and another name was readied to put up there ...

and why ? for there had been an incident ...

and another explosion in the darkness ...of the night ...

and another young man died ...

and there were military smirking ...on the other side ...

even like bad boys with toys ...laughing at doing meanness ...

and the name was added to the list ...

and more rain fell ...there and at home ...

or what might have been a home ...yet was no more ...of the one whose name was written ...on the sign ...

and the home of the father ...and the mother ...was never the same again ...

for the hope of the house ....

and the home ...was taken away ...with the son ...

Now the commander of soldiers of the eagle ...might go forth ...

Yet he was withheld ...of politics ...and merchants ...meaningless memorandums ...dumbs...

and yet he could not rest ...

Nevertheless he ordered a small ...and secret thing ...

and even a new weapon was brought forth ...

and ...a means of doing away with the thing that murdered the young man ...

and it was a single man ...with the weapon ...

and his spotter ...

and a special bullet ...that destroyed steel ...

and with a single bullet ...the devise ...secretly destroyed ...

and if the hidden destruction was not discovered ...

and the enemy tried that weapon again ...

even then ...the evil that they would do ...would blow up in their face ...

and who would the be the blame ? ...

and who would the politics and the merchants memos ...blame ?

and was there any money to be made ?...of the spilling of the blood ...

and profit to be made of the rivers of red ...

and the taking of the wages of war ...from the wombs of mothers ...

and from the hopes and dreams of fathers ...

even as their sons are offered on the altars ...of power and profit and wickedness in high places ...
