Dearly beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, how that one day is with the Lord, as a thousand year, and a thousand year as one day. The Lord is not slack to fulfil his promise, as some men count slackness: but is patient to us ward, and would have no man lost, but would receive all men to repentance.

and i was taken and show a high and dismal place ...
and there was a grey house sitting on the high hill...
even the highest place ...of the whole land ...
and the grey house was like a house abandoned ...wasted ...of worthlessness ...and neglect ...
and all roundabout the the high wasted house ...was trailer courts ...
and people living in trailers ...
and the trailers were of the same abandonment ...and waste ...and worthlessness and neglect ...as the high house on the hill ...
evenso the high house ...on the highest place ...ruled over all the tailers and the peoples within ...
and the high house collected rents and leases from all and any ...upon the land ...
and the high house set all days to celebrate ...
and no celebration allowed ...least it be allowed of the high house ...
Now there was a huge celebration ...
and the whole of all the high hill and the dismal trailer courts ...were in celebration ...
and there was drinking and drunkenness and debauchery ...(excessive indulgence in sensual pleasures)
and a man appeared there ...within ...within the place ...a visitor ...a stranger
and the stranger walked in the midst of the place ...
and all roundabout the place ...
Now as the stranger was walking within ...within the place ...a thing was stolen from him ...
and the stranger went to the people and asked who has authority ...and power over this place ...
and the many ...answered and treated the stranger wickedly ...
Nevertheless the few ...answered and treated the stranger kindly ...
even so the people said ...the ones of the high hill ...have rule and power ...
and so the stranger went to the high hill and the people thereof ...
and a scoundrel of a man said to the stranger ...come with me ...(a wicked or evil person; someone who does evil deliberately)
and he took the visitor ...the stranger ...and showed him ...the thing ...that was stolen from him ...
and the thing that was stolen ...was upon the trash heap ...of things stolen from all the others ...everyone...
and the scoundrel of a man said ...look see it is on the heap of things ...that are stolen ...from all the people ...
and the more the scoundrel man said to the stranger ...grinning ...and there is nothing ...nothing you can do about it ...
and why? for the ones willing to do evil ...have rule and power ...over the whole land ...
and scripture came back to remembrance ...
THE GOSPELL OF ST. LUKE Chpt 4
Jesus then full of the holy ghost returned from Jordan, and was carried of the spirit into wilderness, and was forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days ate he nothing. And when they were ended, he after ward hungered. And the devil said unto him: if thou be the son of God command this stone that it be bread. And Jesus answered him saying: It is written, man shall not live by bread only, but by every word of God.
And the devil took him up into an high mountain, and showed him all the kingdom of the world, even in the twinkling of an eye. And the devil said unto him: all this power will I give thee every *whit and the glory of them: for that is delivered to me, and to whosoever I will, I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, they shall be all thine. Jesus answered him and said: hence from me Satan. For it is written: Thou shalt honour the Lord thy God, and him only serve.
And he carried him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him: If thou be the son of God, cast thyself down from hence. For it is written, he shall give his Angels charge over thee to keep thee, and with their hands they shall stay thee up that thou dash not thy foot against a stone. Jesus answered and said to him, it is said: thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. As soon as the devil had ended all his temptations, he departed from him, for a season.
Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to lodge strangers. For thereby have diverse received angels into their houses unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, even as though ye were bound with them. Be mindful of them which are in adversity, as ye which are yet in your bodies. Let wedlock be had in price in all points, and let the chamber be undefiled for whorekeepers and *advoutrers God will judge. Let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with that ye have already. For he verily said: I will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: that we may boldly say: the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man doeth unto me. Remember them which have the oversight of you, which have declared unto you the word of God. The end of whose conversation see that ye look upon, and follow their faith.
Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the armour of God, that ye may stand steadfast against the crafty assaults of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood: but against rule, against power, and against worldly rulers of the darkness of this world against spiritual wickedness, for heavenly things.
For this cause take unto you the armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand perfect in all things.
THE GOSPELL OF ST. MATTHEW Chpt 28
Then the eleven disciples went away into Galile, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him. But some of them doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them saying: All power is given unto me in heaven, and in earth. Go therefore and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the father, and the son, and the holy ghost: Teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I commanded you. And lo, I am with you alway, even until the end of the world
