and they were sitting in a house of a foreigner ...

and the american and his wife were to have some measure of business with the foreigners ...

and the offer was given in written form ...
and the americans opened up the script ...
and the offer was for the tenth ...of the worth ...of what the americans had ...
and the americans were sore ...astounded ...to be offered a tenth of the worth of what they had ...
even as though it was a mistake ...of a digit in the wrong place ...one place to the left ...
nevertheless when the americans looked up ...the foreigners were both straight faced ...
and quite serious ...of both ...the foreign offer and according to the foreign laws ...
and the foreigners grinned a greedy grin one with another ...
and thought the americans to be vulnerable because of their weakness of the flesh ...
and they could use the woman against the man ...as they have done from the beginning ...
and i was not shown if the americans ...allowed themselves to be robbed ...
even to the end ...
even to lose all of what was given them ...
and scripture came back to remembrance ...
Chpt 12 The Epistle of St Paul Unto the Hebrews
Stretch forth therefore again the hands which were let down, and the weak knees, and see that ye have straight steps unto your feet, lest any halting turn out of the way: yee let it rather be healed. Embrace peace with all men and holiness: without the which, no man shall see the Lord.
