was taken afar back ...shown of two young engineers ...young men ...who had much studied oil ...and the getting of it from the ground ....
and yet they had no experience in the oil fields ...that is to say on the oil rigs ...whereof they dig and drill for oil ...of the deepest parts of the earth ...
and i was shown these two young men ...with ...the oil fields ...and there trying to prove themselves up ...as worthy ...by working in the oil and grease and filth and grinding ...churning ...turning ...and smoke ...a fire of the drilling ..into the earth for oil ...
and all of all were covered of the filth of it ...and the works of it ...and evenso these two young men ...trying to prove themselves up ...
to the owners of the oil and the drilling ...owners ...who as such never got any oil on their hands ...neither filth ...or even near the noise of it ...
nevertheless ....the young men competed with one another ...for to see who would find ...the most oil ...and favor of the owners of the ...oil and the drills ...and all that there was of it ...
and one saw that the other might be ahead of him ...and went in secret to him ...and said ...you better not try to get favor above me ...or i will tell them ...that you are a sodomite ...a thing which the other was ...and knew it would ruin him for favor ...of the ones that had rule and power over the oil ..and the drilling and all the works thereof ...
and so the other young man ...took favor ...and began to be held above the other young engineer ...and so the owners and rulers ..held him in high esteem ...above the other ...
and the owners said to him ...you are so worthy what soever you say ...about drilling for oil ..we will do ...
and the young engineer said ...we can get more oil out of the earth ...by "shocking" the oil well ...and making the earth release more oil ...and gas ...
and the owners and rulers said yea ...and so it was done ...and amazed ...more oil was drawn ...out of the earth ...
and the young engineer was held in highest regard ...
and the earth was shocked the more ...for the more ...to take the oil from it ...
and then ...the earth ...as well ...as well ...as the world ...was shocked ...
of what followed ...of what had been done ...when... the oil ...was taken out of the earth ...
